Kids' nails are different than adults' nails. They are softer, more flexible and often will grow turning more up or inward than older people's. These differences increase the chance of kids having ingrown nails on their hands or feet.
Ingrown nails can cause redness and puffiness of the area in which it grew into and sometimes can even get infected. Because all ingrown nails will look red and puffy, telling when it is infected can be tough.
