My nurse, Robin, recently handed me an article she read about iPhone/iTouch apps for kids with special needs. It made me realize once again how amazing technology is. From apps that help parents negotiate the IEP process to an app called FastMall that allows parents with kids in wheelchairs find the most accessible routes through malls to medication trackers like Pillbox, there are fantastic apps available. I recently got back from a five-day meeting of the American Academy of Pediatrics, which hosted its annual National Conference and Exhibition in Washington, D.C. Boy, did I learn a lot! I will have fodder for blogs galore!

I am a techno-geek. I love everything from computers to smartphones to text messaging. I no longer own any medical books, instead referring to online professional resources to hunt down information when I need or want it.
