Last week a childhood friend passed away at age 43, leaving two daughters, the oldest in tenth grade. A week or two before he died, his sister-in-law and I had a long talk about how to discuss his impending death with her children, his niece and nephews. Last week was a weird and difficult one for my family. One day, my 41-year-old brother Tom called me to ask what a heart attack feels like. After having him hightail it to my office we found his blood pressure was sky high, but his EKG was normal. So I sent him to the ER for evaluation.
