The Birmingham Pediatrics + Wellness Center was created to translate 15 years of experience as a pediatrician into a different, better form of medical care for children. Coming to our doctor's office is as pleasant and stress-free as possible for parents and children. Scheduling your appointment is easy and convenient, with same day appointments and times that are convenient for you and your family. The individually themed patient rooms and Wellness Center provide books, activities and other resources to help families lead healthier, more active and more fun lives. Your experience at Birmingham Pediatrics + Wellness Center will be unlike any you've had at a pediatrician's office.

We have brought together a group of dedicated providers that are committed to communicating with and helping parents of children of all ages.  We will email you to give you support and advice whenever you need someone, even in the evenings or on the weekends.  We will provide you with resources on this site and in the office so you can have up to date information and advice.  Dr. Molly also write a column for the Detroit News several days a week with great content.  Read it and enjoy!

Patient Centered Medical Home

We are pleased to announce that we have been nominated as a Patient Center Medical Home aka PCMH

What is a PCMH? The Patient Centered Medical Home is a care delivery model whereby patient treatment is coordinated through their primary care physician to ensure they receive the necessary care when and where they need it, in a manner they can understand.

The objective is to have a centralized setting that facilitates partnerships between individual patients, and their personal physicians, and when appropriate, the patient’s family. Care is facilitated by registries, information technology, health information exchange and other means to assure that patients get the indicated care when and where they need and want it in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner.

We at Birmingham Pediatrics + Wellness Center are committed to your child's health. We feel becoming a Patient Centered Medical Home will strengthen our relationship with you, our patients, and enable us to deliver the best overall healthcare to your families.

When you come in at your next visit you will be given a Patient Partnership Agreement that will outline our commitment to you. Please feel free to contact us with any questions!

Meet our Lactation Specialist:

Stephanie Bauer, RN, IBCLC

Hello. My name is Stephanie Bauer, a Registered Nurse (RN) and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). I am thrilled to join the staff at Life + Wellness as the Lactation Specialist! I have been an RN since 1997 and earned my IBCLC Certification in 2008. I have spent over eleven years working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital. My inspiration to become a Lactation Specialist came from working closely with critically-ill newborns whose lives benefitted greatly from their own mother’s milk and breastfeeding. Having witnessed the benefits these children received from their mother’s milk and breastfeeding made me want to learn more. I have also witnessed the numerous benefits of breastfeeding with my own two children, Evan (nine years old) and Camden (nine months old). I wholeheartedly believe in the benefits of breast milk and breastfeeding for babies and their mothers. My goal is to create a warm and comfortable environment for breastfeeding mothers to gain support, knowledge, and resources. In doing so, I hope to help mothers and their families understand and embrace the benefits of breastfeeding.

Call 248.816.2558 to schedule your appointment

*All payment for consultations will be directly billed to patient and expected at time of service.
